Learning Outcomes Project
We are deeply aware that if learning outcomes are to be improved we require a holistic approach. In this regard we have identified five key areas of focus:
- Early Childhood Development
- Literacy and 'reading for meaning' skills by Grade 4
- Pure maths skills and a move away from Maths Lit
- Culture and extra-curricular encouragement in the form of Sport, Art and Choir competitions
- Career guidance and choice
Our learning outcomes are dedicated to equipping today’s learners for the world of work, we aim to achieve the following:
Academic Excellence: Empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel academically, in this regard we provide extra teachers in the form of Eduhelpers and regular teacher training workshops.
Employability Skills: Equipping students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the modern workplace. These include communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, adaptability, and digital literacy, among others.
In this regard we have implemented the online Eduvelopment programme which assists learners with career choice aligned to their matric results, suitable tertiary institutions and bursary applications. It is our intention going forward to track the tertiary and employability experience of our matriculants.
