Career Guidance 2025

INJOLOBA GRADE 11

Six Schools, Shared Vision: Michaelhouse Community Partnerships Trust Turn Career Challenges into Opportunities

Career guidance and career choice have been ongoing challenges in our six secondary footprint schools. Our Grade 12 matriculants do not know which career options are available to them based on their matric results, which institutions offer the necessary tuition, or where bursaries can be found. We now offer training via an online digital platform called EDUvelopment, which enables our teachers to better guide our learners in making career choices.

This training empowers students to make realistic decisions by equipping them with essential skills and mentorship to unlock their potential. There are approximately 400 tertiary institutions in South Africa offering further career tuition, and our Grade 12 students now have access to those that provide courses they can successfully complete.

Built on three interconnected pillars – Purpose, Path, and Preparation – the platform combines these elements to holistically inspire and guide our learners toward personal fulfilment. We begin this guidance in Grade 11 and conclude it in Grade 12.

Today, our team is conducting a training session at Michaelhouse with Grade 11 learners from Injoloba High School.
