Michaelhouse Community Partnership Trust Annual Choir Competition 2025

The Michaelhouse Community Partnership Trust’s Annual Choir Competition 2025 brought voices, joy and community spirit to the fore as learners from our 16 footprint schools gathered for a day of music, friendly rivalry and celebration. From bright-eyed soloists to full-bodied school choirs, the event showcased the talent, hard work and collaboration that make our partnership thrive.

Learning, leadership and connection

Beyond trophies and applause, our annual choir competition is about nurturing the talents of young children – pushing boundaries, lifting spirits, and restoring hope and pride which can be seen through the smiles of the participating learners.

The event also adds to the vibrant Heritage Day atmosphere, where we celebrate South Africa’s rich diversity of cultures through the universal language of music.

Gratitude to everyone who made it happen

A heartfelt thank-you to the choir directors from 16 schools, accompanists, volunteer adjudicators Themba Ntuli, Lubanzi Mzinyane and Mandla Mvelase, stage crew, MC Sifiso Zuma and school leaders whose dedication turned logistics and long rehearsals into a seamless, uplifting event.

Most importantly, thank you to the learners: your discipline, courage and joy on stage were the heart of the day and this is what MCPT aims for when hosting these events.
